After a foggy night and a rather damp morning, the weather finally started to brighten up considerably today. His Lordship gleefully announced that the campsite owner had promised ‘tropical temperatures’ from now on. Her Ladyship therefore grudgingly consented to set off with him on a drive/cycling trip to Lake Lipno. Her Ladyship was growling for her breakfast this morning and sent His Lordship off on a hunting/gathering trip. He duly hopped on the bike and returned shortly afterwards with an impressive haul: three bread rolls, one poppy seed pastry (we are in poppy seed country here), four nectarines, a packet of butter and a fine lump of pâté. All for the princely sum of €3. We certainly won’t go hungry – or broke – in this neck of the woods!…
